Look what I got in the mail today! Isn't this darling?! I guess Oma's guess is my Lil Bean is going to be a girl!  Well, we'll just have to wait and see!

Since I was about, oh... 12 years old my Oma (Grandmother in German) has been asking me "so when will you make me a Great-Grandmother?!" Now, don't get me wrong, she wasn't asking me to get pregnant at the age of 12, but she was definitely planting the seed of growing up and getting married and having kids ASAP! lol

Since it was her birthday on Friday, the 5th my parents and I decided this would be a cute way to tell her.  A birthday cake that says "Happy Birthday Uroma" (Uroma meaning Great-Grandmother in German).

Don't you just love how it's decorated?!  I would be lying if I didn't say i was disappointed about not having the camera ready for her reaction, which was priceless by the way! She screamed and cried and was soooooo happy! It was amazing, so much love from my family that it is heart warming!

first ultrasound

I went to my ultrasound today. Since my periods had not regulated since getting off the pill, we weren't sure how far along I was or if we would see anything during this ultrasound. After gagging down all that water and trying not to pee myself during the long ride to the ultrasound place, we were pleasantly surprise to the out come! It's my first picture of my Lil Bean

 

My next surprise was to find out that I was already at 7 weeks 5 days! Sheesh! I turned into one of "those" women who was pregnant and didn't know it for almost 2 months! I wanted to smack myself upside the head but with irregular periods how was I supposed to know I was late with one?!

PS don't you just love how my uterus is in the shape of a heart?  Guess this Lil Bean really was made with love <3 lol
